For the convenience of the Brethren of Far East Lodge No. 1, and to faciliate their study of the Constitution and the General Laws of the Grand Lodge of Japan, four versions are offered in both English and Japanese, though some of the Japanese versions are still incomplete:

PDF: A scanned version of the original printed Constitution and General Laws distributed by Grand Lodge. The scan is of poor quality and the text contains the same typographical and punctuation mistakes as the original. Although most computers will be able to open this file via double-click, some users may need to download a copy of Adobe Reader or the PDF browser plug-in.

DOC: The official text version of the Constitution and General Laws in Microsoft Word .doc format. This version requires a copy of Microsoft Word, or a word processor capable of reading .doc files. The advantage of this format over PDF or HTML is that it can be edited and printed as required.

RTF: A text version of the Constitution and General Laws in Rich Text Format. This file should be readable by any word-processor, but some computers may not recognize the .rtf extension and it will be necessary to open the file from within the word-processor, as opposed to double-clicking on it.

HTML: An online version of the Constitution and General Laws for reading with an Web browser. A Table of Contents has been provided for easy navigation to each Chapter. This format is the most useful for quick reference, using the 'Find Text' function of your web browser.
