Rises when addressed by the Master.

After Master gives his order, goes out without rod, invites the brethren in, reenters, closes the door, goes to his seat and sits down.
(After SW calls the brethren to order and the due guard is given, JD remains standing when Master seats Lodge)

Gives sign when addressed by the Master.

After Master gives order, takes rod from the stand.
-
Comes to attention.

Makes a right face, rod still at attention.

Steps off. Makes a right turn when opposite the door.

Stops short of the door, rod at attention.

Transfers rod to his left hand, holding it parallel to body.

Knocks on the door with his right hand.
-
Opens door with right hand after hearing Tyler's knock.

Transfers rod back to his right hand.

Carrying it parallel to his body, takes one step back with left foot, places rod at attention, then

Speaks to Tyler.

Advances to door carrying rod parallel to body. Transfers rod to left hand and closes door with right hand.

Places rod at attention, then makes an about face.
-
Steps off.

Makes a left turn when opposite his place.
-
Stops in front of his seat, facing North, rod at attention.

Makes a right face, facing East, rod still at attention.

Returns rod to stand, Gives the sign. Addresses the Master. (If in the MM degree, he sits down; if other 2 degrees, he remains standing.)
