Senior Deacon

1. Rises when addressed by the SW.
2. Takes rod from the stand after SW gives order.
3. Comes to attention.
4. Steps off.
5. Makes a right turn on border of North pavement or when in line with it. Walks along border of North pavement.
6. Stops at N-W corner of pavement, facing West, rod at attention.
7. Makes a left face, rod at attention, as JD faces him.
8. With rod in pass, steps off and meets JD in front of West.
9. Stops, rod still in pass, receives pass from JD who advances to give it.
10. Brings rod at attention,makes a right face as JD faces West, both facing SW, rod at attention.
11. With rod in pass, steps off walking straight forward.
12. At foot of SW's station, steps sidewise to left one step.
13. Brings right foot forward and leans body toward SW, then gives the pass.
14. Returns to position, with rod still in pass, steps sidewise to right, then steps back with left foot first, beside JD.
15. Places rod at attention.
16. After receiving SW's order, makes a right face, as JD turns left.
17. Steps off, proceeds to N-W corner of the Lodge.
18. With rod in pass, collects the pass from every brother (who rises to give it) from the West end to the East (except Master). If a brother fails to give the pass, place rod at attention and ask him to kindly remain standing.
19. After collecting the pass, rod in carry, goes to N-E corner of pavement, facing South, rod at attention.
20. Waits until JD is on the S-E corner of pavement.
21. With rod in pass, steps off and meets JD in front of East.
22. Stops, rod still in pass, receives pass from JD who advances to give it.
23. Brings rod at attention. Makes a left face as JD faces East.
24. With rod in pass, steps off, walking straight forward.
25. At foot of Master' s station, steps sidewise to right one step.
26. Brings right foot forward, leaning body toward Master, gives him the pass.
27. Returns to position. With rod still in pass, steps sidewise to left, then steps back with left foot first, beside JD.
28. Places rod at attention. (If anyone is standing for failing to give the pass, Master orders SD to give it.)
29. Makes an about face, facing Altar.
30. With rod in pass., takes, one step forward with right foot.
31. Leans body forward, then gives pass in a low but distinct tone of voice.
32. Comes to attention.
33. Makes an about face, facing East.
34. After Master’s remarks, makes a left face as JD turns right.
35. Steps off.
36. Returns to his place.
37. Stops before his seat, rod at attention.
38. Makes an about face.
39. Returns rod to the stand together with JD.
40. Remains standing.

Junior Deacon

1. Rises when addressed by the SW.

4. Steps off, walks in square.
5. Goes to S-W corner of pavement, faces East, rod at attention.
6. Makes a left face, facing North, as SD faces him, rod at attention.
7. With rod in pass, steps off and meets SD in front of West.
8. Stops when one step from SD, rod still in pass, advances with right foot, leaning forward, gives pass to SD.
9. Returns to position, rod at attention.
10. Makes a left face as SD faces West, both facing SW.
11. After receiving SW's order, makes a left face as SD turns right.
12. Steps off proceeds to S-W corner of Lodge.

22. Makes a right turn on S-E corner of pavement, walks along border of South pavement to S-W corner.
23. Proceeds to his place, walks in squares.
24. Stops before his seat, rod at attention.
25. Makes an about face and returns rod to the stand together with SD.
26. Remains standing.
