A Special Meeting of Far East Lodge No.1 F&A.M was held in the Masonic Temple, Yokohama, Japan on the 27th day of January 1971.
A Lodge of Master Masons was opened in due and ancient form at the order of the Wor. Master in the East at 19:00 hours with Bro. Steinheimer in the East, Bro. Bicknas in the West and Bro. Riffle in the South, for conferring the Second and Third Degree of Masonry.
The Lodge was lowered to the First Degree at 19:10 hours and Bros. Poll and Simpson were examined and found proficent in the first degree of Masonry by Bro. Watters.
Labor in the Fellow Craft Degree was resumed at 19:30 hours.
The Second Degree of Masonry was conferred on Bros. Poll and Simpson in due and ancient form with Bro. Steinheimer in the East, Bro. Bicknas in the West and Bro. Riffle in the South.
Bro. Poll and Simpson knocked on the door at 19:35 hours were admitted at 19:40 and were obligated at 19:55 hours. Bro. Watters presented the Working Tools.
The Second Section of this Degree was conferred on our newly obligated Brethren in due and ancient form with Bro. Steinheimer in the East, Bro. Bicknas in the West and Bro. Riffle in the South.
Bro. Watters gave the Staircase Lecture. Bro. Steinheimer gave the Letter 'G' Lecture.
W.Bro. Williams delivered the Charge.
Bro. Somerville was examined and found proficent in the 2nd Degree by Bro. Watters.
Labor in the Master Mason Degree was resumed at 21:00 hours.
The Third Degree of Masonry was conferred on Bro. Somerville with Bro. Steinheimer in the East, Bro. Bicknas in the West and Bro. Riffle in the South.
Bro. Somerville knocked on the door at 21:10, was admitted at 21:15 and obligated at 21:23 hours.
The Lodge was called from Labor to refreshment for the second section of this degree. With W.Bro. Grimes in the East and Bro. Steinheimer in the West.
Labor was resumed at 21:50 hours and W.Bro. Nishiyama delivered the Charge. The Lecture was deferred to a later date.
Peace and harmony prevailing the Lodge was closed in due and ancient form at the order of the W.Master in the East at 22:15 hours, with Bro. Steinheimer in the East, Bro. Bicknas in the West and Bro. Riffle in the South.
