Minutes 10 February 1971

A Special Meeting of Far East Lodge No.1, F&AM was held in the Masonic Temple, Yokohama, Japan on the 10th day of February 1971.

A Lodge of Fellow Craft Masons was opened in due and ancient form at the order of the Wor. Master in the East at 19:00 hours with Bro. Steinheimer in the East, W.Bro. Williams in the West and Bro. Grimes in the South for the purpose of Degree work and 2nd Degree proficiency.

Lodge was lowered to the 1st Degree at 19:15 hours and the First Degree of Masonry was conferred on Mr. Ted Allen DeYoung in due and ancient form with Bro. Steinheimer in the East, Bro. Williams in the West and Bro. Grimes in the South.

Mr. DeYoung knocked on the door at 19:25, was admitted at 19:30 and was obligated at 19:40 hours. Bro. Evans presented the Lambskin Apron. Bro. Watters presented the Working Tools.

The Second Section of this Degree was conferred on our newly obligated Brethren in due and ancient form with Bro. Steinheimer in the East, W.Bro. Williams in the West and Bro. Riffle in the South. Bro. Steinheimer gave the Lecture. W.Bro. Williams delivered the Charge.

The Lodge was raised to the Fellow Craft Degree at 21:00 hours and Bro. Guy Yves Poll was examined and found proficient in the 2nd Degree of Masonry by Bro. Rogers and was congratulated by the W.Master for a fine Proficiency.

Peace and harmony prevailing the Lodge was closed in due and ancient form at the order of the Wor. Master in the East at 21:40 hours, with Bro. Steinheimer in the East, Wor. Bro. Williams in the West and Bro. Riffle in the South.
