The 168th Stated Meeting of Far East Lodge No.1 F&AM was held in the Masonic Temple, Yokohama, Japan on the 7th day of April, 1971.
A Lodge of Master Masons was opened in due and ancient form at the order of the Wor. Master in the East at 19:30 hours with Wor Bro. Vanvig in the East, Bro. Steinheimer in the West and Bro. Otani in the South, for conducting such business that might come before it.
The Minutes of the 167th Stated and Special Meetings held during the Month of March were read and approved.
The Treasurer's report for the Month of March was read and approved.

House: Neg. report.
Entertainment: W. Bro. Nishiyama reported all arrangements were ready for the Grand Master's dinner to be held on 19 May and the price of the tickets would be ¥1,400.
DeMolay: Conclave to be held at Camp Drake Thur. Fri. Sat. & Sunday.

Petition for dual membership in this Lodge was read for: Bro. Crosthwaite
Bills were presented for payment and it was moved by Bro. Watters and seconded. By M.W. Bro. Robertson that they be paid. CARRIED.
Other Business: Moved by W.Bro. Grimes and Sec. by Bro. Sommerville that we purchase a new altar Bible. CARRIED.
Moved by M.W. Bro. Robertson and seconded by Bro. Watters that we hold a election for J. Warden. CARRIED
Bro. Riffle read portion of letter from Bro. Howe about mailing the F.T. [Friendly Tips] The W. Master asked Bro. Riffle to convey the thanks of the Lodge to Bro. Howe.
Bro. Sommerville was examined and found proficient in the Third Degree by Bro. Watters.
