The 417th Special Meeting of Far East Lodge No 1, F&AM was held (through courtesy of W.M. Paul Mears, Sagamihara Lodge #13 under the G.L. of Japan, at the Zama Masonic Temple, Camp Zama, Japan) on the 16th day of July 1971. A Lodge of Master Masons was opened in due and ancient form at 14:00 hours with Worshipful Master Brother Vanvig in the East, M.W. Bro. Nielsen in the West and Bro. Otani in the South.
This Special Lodge of Master Masons was convened to conduct a MASONIC FUNERAL SERVICE for Worshipful Brother Frederick T. Esch who passed away on the ?th day July, 1971.
The Eulogy was delivered by Worshipful Bro. Deptula.
The Benediction was delievered by M.W. Bro. Nielsen.
There being no further business to come before this Lodge of Master Masons, the Worshipful Master announced that the Lodge would proceed to close. Peace and Harmony prevailing, this Lodge was closed in due and ancient form at the will and pleasure of the Worshipful Master at 16:15 hours with Worshipful Brother Vanvig in the East, M.W. Bro. Nielsen in the West and Bro. Otani in the South.
