The 187th Stated Meeting of Far East Lodge No. 1, F&AM, was held at the Masonic Temple, No. 3 Yamate-cho, Yokohama, Japan on the 6th day of December, 1972. A Lodge of Master Masons was opened in due and ancient form at 19:30 hours, with MW Bro. Floyd J. Robertson (acting WM) in the East, Bro. Bruce A. Riffle, Senior Warden in the West and Bro. Chun (acting JW) in the South.
The WM announced that we would receive the Grand Lodge Inspector W Bro. Floyd B. Jimerson with Grand Honors, after which W Bro. Jimerson was seated in the East.
The WM recognized the distinguished Brethren and visitors as listed in the Tiler's register of this date.
The WM reminded the Brethren that this being the Stated Meeting at which elections for new officers for the ensuing Masonic year would be had, all but the essential items of business would be suspended, and that the minutes of our last Stated Meeting ONLY would be read.
The Secretary read the minutes of our last Stated Meeting and they were approved a read.
The next item of business was the Treasurer's Report, which Bro. Alvarez gave and it was approved as read.
The petition of the following named candidate was balloted upon and he was elected to receive the Degrees of Masonry in the Lodge.

Grand Lodge correspondence received subsequent to our Last Stated Meeting was read and the Secretary was instructed to take the necessary action.
The WM read letters of invitation to Installation ceremonies from Kyushu Lodge No. 4, Lodge Star in the East No. 640, and Tokyo Lodge No. 2, he also informed the Brethren of the Passing, on 6 August, 1972, of

The WM requested the Brothren to be upstanding for a moment of silent prayer.
He then read The Lodge By-Laws and Grand Lodge Constitution and By-Laws Art. No. 100, 100A, and 100B, pertaining to elections of officers for the ensuing Masonic year.
The Secretary read the bills for the month of November, Bro. Hodges moved and Bro. DeYoung second that the bills be paid. MOTION CARRIED
MW Bro. Robertson read the names of three Brethren of Far East Lodge No. 1 who had distinguished themselves during the year and recommended that their names as appear below be submitted as possible recipients of the Grand Lodge Certificate award. Bro. DeYoung so moved, it was seconded by MW Bro. Yamada. The Motion Carried.

Worshipful Master Elect Bro. Riffle announced that there would be a First Degree initiation on Wednesday, 20 December, 1972.
MW Bro. Peck reminded the Brethren that Officers must be proficient prior to installation as indicated by the Grand Lodge Inspector and the Grand Master. He also suggested that the Bonds that will mature at the end of December be invested with the Grand Lodge Investment Fund, and it was so moved by Bro. DeYoung and seconded by Bro. Alvarez. MOTION CARRIED
Wor. Bro. Jimerson, The Grand Lodge Inspector, congratulated the newly elected and appointed officers and expressed his willingness to work with all to insure that all were proficient prior to installation, and requested that a Lodge of Instruction be held on next Wednesday 13 Dec., so that he might see and hear the work in the Second Degee by Bro. Alvarez, and Bro. Riffle concurred.
There being no further business to come before this Lodge of Master Masons, the Wor. Master announced that the Lodge would proceed to close.
Peace and harmony prevailing the lodge was closed in due and ancient form at 10:10 hours with Most Worshipful Bro. Robertson (acting WM) in the East, Bro. Riffle, Senior Warden, in the West and Bro. Chun (acting JW) in the South.
