The 622nd SPECIAL MEETING of Far East Lodge No. 1, F. & A. M was held at the Masonic Temple, No. 3 Bluff, Yamate-Cho, Yokohama, Japan on the 14th day of March 1979.
A Lodge of Master Masons was opeed in due and ancient form at 1910 hours with WB Jack C. Barrs WM in the East, Bro. William Pintar (Yokosuka Lodge No. 20, Acting SW) in the West and WB Saburo Katagiri, JW elect, in the South.
The WM recognized the Distinguished Brethren and first time visitors as listed in the Tiler's Register of this date.
Labors in this Lodge of Master Masons was then suspended and a Lodge of Fellowcraft Masons opened for the purpose of listening to the proficiency in the Second Degree by the following named Fellowcrafts:
The WM conducted the examination from the East, and upon completion pronounced Bro. Lamm and Bro. Judy proficient.
After congratulating Bro. Lamm and Bro. Judy on their fine proficiency the WM called the Brethren briefly free from restraint. Bro. Lamm and Bro. Judy withdrew from the Lodge. And, at the sound of the Gavel in the East, the Lodge of Fellowcraft Masons was closed and labor resumed in a Lodge of Master Masons, and the WM announced that this Lodge of Master Masons had re-convened for the purpose of raising to the sublime degree of Master Mason the two following named Fellowcrafts: Bro. LAMM, J. W. and Bro. JUDY, Lonn Allen.
The above named Fellowcraft Masons were obligated as Master Masons with WB Jack C. Barrs, WM in the East, Bro. Millard C. Sketo SW elect in the West, and WB Saburo Katagiri, JW elect in the South.
Bro. Fred Smith (Yokosuka Lodge No. 20) presented the Working Tools.
After the newly obligated Brethren had been conducted from the Lodge the WM announced that he would now install the following named Brethren into their recently elected offices, with WB Robert L. Williams as Installing Marshal:

The Installing Marshal then proclaimed the above named officers duly installed for the ensuing year. And, at the sound of the gavel in the South, this Lodge of Master Masons was called from labor to refreshment for the purpose of raising to the sublime degree of Master Mason, the above named newly obligated Master Masons. With Bro. Jack C. Barrs, WM in the East, Bro. Millard C. Sketo, SW in the West, and WB Saburo Katagiri, JW in the South.
At the sound of the gavel in the East:
The WM then informed the newly raised Master Masons that they had preference over all others to address the Lodge and Bro. Lamm and Bro. Judy responded with appropriate remarks.
Congratulations were then forthcoming from many including WB Fogle, WM Yokosuka Lodge No. 20, who also extended fraternal greetings from the officers and members of his Lodge.
There being nothing further to come before this Lodge of Master Masons the WM announced that we would proceed to close.
Peace and harmony prevailing this Lodge of Master Masons was closed in due and ancient form at 23:45 with WB Jack C. Barrs WM in the East, Bro. Millard C. Sketo, SW in the West and WB Saburo Katagiri, JW elect, in the South.
