Minutes 21 March 1979

The 623rd SPECIAL MEETING of Far East Lodge No. 1, F. & A. M was held at the Masonic Temple, No. 3 Bluff, Yamate-Cho, Yokohama, Japan on the 21st day of March 1979.

A Lodge of Entered Apprentice Masons was opened in due and ancient form at 19:10 hours with Bro. Millard C. Sketo,SW (acting WM) in the East, WB Jack C. Barrs (acting SW) in the West and Bro. Ira N. Medley MM (acting JW) in the South.

The WM recognized the distinguished Brethren and first time visitors present as listed in the Tiler's Register of this date.

He then announced that this Lodge of Entered Apprentice Masons had convened for the purpose of conferring the First Degree of Masonry on the following named candidate:

Mr. ROHRER Francis Robert.

The above named candidate was obligated as an Entered Apprentice Mason with Bro. Millard C. Sketo SW (acting WM) in the East, WB Jack C Barrs WM (acting SW) in the West, and Bro. Ira N. Medley MM (acting JW) in the South.

Congratulations were then forthcoming from the WM and many of the Brethren to Bro. Francis Robert Rohrer on his initiation into our ancient and honorable fraternity.

WB Jack Barrs then gave a brief report on the Grand Lodge communication and that there would be no meeting next Wednesday, our next meeting would be on 4 April, 1979.

There being nothing further to come before this Lodge of Entered Appentice Masons the WM announced that we would proceed to close.

Peace and harmony prevailing this Lodge was closed in due and ancient form at 21:15 hours with Bro. Millard C. Sketo SW (acting WM) in the East, WB Jack C. Barr (acting SW) in the West, and Bro. Ira N. Medley (acting JW) in the South.
