Worshipful Master:

In order to educate the non-masonic community and to promote their understanding of Masonry, a community relations program has been discussed during the Stated Meetings of Far East Lodge No. 1 in April and May 1993. In order to implement the proposed program, it is moved that:

  1. The lodge will conduct a dinner or luncheon function every two or three months, inviting the lodge members and the Brethren from other lodges with their ladies. The cost for these persons to attend the function shall be borne by the individuals attending.
  2. Each member of Far East Lodge No. 1 may invite one non-masonic friend or acquaintence, together with his lady friend, who, in the opinion of the member inviting has the potential quality to be a Mason. The cost of such invitation, excluding the cost of alcoholic beverages, shall be borne by lodge funds.
  3. The total number of friends invited to each function shall not exceed a total of six (6) people, including lady friends.
  4. A committee shall be appointed by the Master to conduct and administer various aspects of the program.
  5. Each function is to include intimate but educational programs for non-masons.

Fraternally submitted,

S. KATAGIRI, PM
