The 474th Stated Meeting of Far East Lodge No. 1, F.&A.M. was held at the Masonic Temple, No. 250 Yamashita-cho, Naka-ku, Yokohama, Japan, on the 12th day of February 2000.
A lodge of MMs was opened in due and ancient form at 1425 hours with WB Masaki, PM, WM, in the East, Bro. Herrera. SW, the West, and RWB Watanabe, DGM, Acting JW, in the South.
The WM announced that this being our Stated Meeting for the month of February 2000, the first order of business would be the reading of the minutes of our last stated meeting and all subsequent special meetings. The acting secretary read the minutes and they were approved as read.
Due to the absence of the Treasurer, the financial report was deferred until the March meeting.
WB Hodges moved and MWB Heath, PGM, seconded a motion that the lodge pay the cost of food and soft drinks for all those attending the Installation Banquet. The total cost will not exceed the 10% authorized. MOTION CARRIED.
The Secretary also moved and MWB Heath seconded a motion that the bills for the period be paid. MOTION CARRIED.
Next was the report of the several committees:

UNFINISHED BUSINESS: WB Hodges reported that Bro. Mendoza has withdrawn as Junior Warden Elect. WB Masaki announced that a new election would be held with the permission of the Grand Master. MWB Allen Leroy Robinson, PGM, was elected JW for the ensuing Masonic Year. Bro. Herrera, WME, then appointed Bro. Mendoza to be Marshal and WB Masaki to be Organist.
NEW BUSINESS: At the sound of the gavel in the East, the lodge was called free from restraint for the purpose of installing the officers of this lodge for the ensuing Masonic Year in an open installation. The following named Brethren were installed in the office indicated by MWB Chester L. Ditto, PGM, Grand Secretary, MWGLOJ, assisted by MWB William M. Heath, PGM:
Upon completion of the installation ceremony, MWB Heath proclaimed the Officers of Far East Lodge No. 1, F&AM, to be duly installed.
After appropriate remarks by WB Herrera and other Brethren in attendance, the Grand Master, MWB Frederick R. Collins, closed the lodge at 1650 hours in public form with MWB Heath, PGM, in the West and MWB Robinson, PGM, in the South. There were 11 members and 8 guests present.
