The WM than recognized the Distinguished Brethren as listed in the Tiler's Register of this date. He then announced that this being our stated meeting for the month of May 2000, the first order of business would be the reading of the minutes of our last stated meeting and all subsequent special meetings. Next were the reports of the several committees.

With the exception of the following, all Committee reports were negative:

Hearing none, he advised that he would proceeed with the preperation of a suitable Resolution and change to the lodge By-Laws. He then proposed that the lodge donate ¥50,000 to Refugees International, Japan and that their Brochure be sent to every member of the lodge with a cover letter signed by the WM encouraging the Brethren to become a Member, Sponsor or Patron of RJI. We thanked the Brethren for the opportunity to become a Mason while here in Japan and indicated that he intended to stay active in the Fraternity regardless of where duty may take him in the future. Several of the Brethren responded with appropriate remarks and all wished him fair winds and following seas.

NEW BUSINESS: WB Hodges moved and WB Herrera seconded a motion to donate the sum of ¥50,000 to Refugees International, Japan. MOTION CARRIED.
