A lodge of MMs was opened in due and ancient form at 1412 hours with WB Herrera, PM, WM, in the East, WB Masaki, PM, SW, in the West, and Bro Mendoza, JW, in the South.
The WM recognized the Distinguished Brethren present as listed in the Tyler’s register of this date and announced that this being our Stated Meeting for the month of February 2004, the first order of business would be the reading of the minutes of our last Stated Meeting and all subsequent Special Meetings. The Secretary read the minutes and they were approved as read.
The Treasurer then gave his report after which he moved and it was seconded that the report be accepted as read subject to the usual audit. MOTION CARRIED.
The Secretary then read the bills for the period after which he moved and it was seconded that the bills be paid. MOTION CARRIED.

COACHING: WB Hodges reported that Bro Jackson is progressing well and may be ready to give his proficiency at our March meeting.

NEW BUSINESS: WB Herrera opened discussions on the proposed resolutions to amend the constitution. After adequate discussion, it was moved and seconded that the lodge instruct the representatives to the G/L Communication in March to vote favorably on Resolution 2004-1 and 2004-3. During discussion of Resolution 2004-2, it was determined that the proposed change accomplishes nothing as the proposed change reads exactly as the present article. WB Hodges, who wrote the resolution, informed the lodge that he would request Grand Lodge withdraw this resolution from consideration.
WB Herrera, WB Masaki and Bro Mendoza all indicated that they plan on attending the Annual Communication in March.
In consideration of the possibility of conferring the second degree on Bro Jackson at either our March meeting or subsequent meeting, WB Herrera announced degree work assignments and requested the Secretary to publish the work assignments to those concerned.
WB Hodges announced that he would be out of the country from 13 February until 1 March 2004.
The WM then announced that there being no further business to come before this Lodge of MM’s, we would proceed to close.
