The Special Meeting of Far East Lodge No. l, F&AM was held at the Masonic Temple, 77-12 Honmoku Midorigaoka, Naka-ku, Yokohama on the 09th day of July, 2005.
A Lodge of Master Masons was opened in due and ancient form at 13:14 hours with MWB Katagiri, PGM, (Acting) WM in the East, WB Masaki, PM, SW in the West, and Bro. Terasawa, (Acting) JW in the South.
The WM recognized the Distinguished Brethren present as listed in the Tiler's Register of this date. He then announced that this Lodge had convened for the purpose of conferring the Second Degree of Masonry on Bros Inomata and Sagara.
At 13:22 hour, the Lodge had lowered to the 1st degree and then Bro Sagara was placed West of Altar and examined by MWB Watanabe. After the examination MWB Katagiri, acting Worshipful Master of this Lodge, declared him proficient in the First Degree.
At 13:36 hours, the Lodge resumed labor in the 2nd degree and after three distinct knocks on the door Bros Inomata and Sagara were admitted into the Lodge and Obligated as Fellow Crafts. Bro Miyata gave the Working Tool Lecture, MWB Watanabe the Staircase Lecture, WB Masaki the G-Lecture and MWB Katagiri delivered the Charge. All lectures and charges were givne in Japanese.
The Lodge was then called briefly free from restraint for the purpose of congratulating our newly obligated Brothers.
At 15:30 hour, the Lodge resumed labor in the 3rd degree and proceeded to close. Fraternal greetings were received from MWB Iwahama, PGM, Tokyo Yuai Lodge No. 11 and WB Shimada, PM of Square and Compass Lodge No. 3.
Peace and harmony prevailing, the Lodge was closed at 15:45 hours in short form with MWB Katagiri, acting WM in the East, WB Masaki, SW in the West, and Bro Terasawa, acting JW in the South.
There were 15 Brethren present including 8 visitors.
