The 595th Stated Meeting of Far East Lodge No. 1, F. & A.M. was held at the Masonic Temple located at 77-12 Honmoku Midorigaoka, Naka-ku, Yokohama on the 3rd day of December 2011.
A lodge of MM's was opened in due and ancient form at 13:00 hours with WB Inomata, PM, WM in the East, Bro Sagara, SW in the West and Bro Tsujii, JW in the South.
The WM then recognized the Distinguished Brethren and greeted our guests for this afternoon, including WB Watanabe, Bro Sugita of Tokyo Yuai Lodge No. 11, WBro Frank Reno of Eustis Lodge No. 85, GL of FL, Bro Orpheu Martorlli of Virgilio Nascimento n. 22, GL of Sao Paulo and Bro Sadao Kobayashi from GLP.
And then he announced that this being our Stated Meeting for the month of December 2011, the first order of business would be the reading of the minutes of our last Stated Meeting and all subsequent Special Meetings. The Secretary read the minutes of November 5th, and they were APPROVED AS READ.
The Secretary read Treasurer report of November due to his absence after which he moved and it was seconded that the report accepted as read subject to the usual audit. MOTION CARRIED.
The Secretary then read the bills for the period after which he moved and it was seconded that the bills be paid. MOTION CARRIED.
Next was the report of the several committees: All committee reports were negative with the exception of the following:
CHARITY: Alms in the amount of 15,291 Yen was collected.
BALLOTTING: None.
RECEPTION OF PETITIONS: None.
CORRESPONDENCE: The secretary announced that the Monthly G/L Bulletins of November 22, Minutes of GLEC on October 22 are tapped on the bulletin board in the conference room so please read. And also tapped a photo copy of Asahi newspaper reported on relief activities of GloJ to tsunami disaster area.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS: The WM read Article II, Section 2 of our By-Laws.
BACK YARD HEDGE CLIPPING, due to the year end, they received many orders and ask us wait a little while.

Election of 2012 Officers is conducted by two visiting brethren from #11, WB Watanabe and Bro Sugita worked as teller and followings are a result of election;

LOWER THE LODGE TO EA degree;
The WM lower the Lodge to EA degree and invite all EA and FC into the lodge. Then first degree Proficiency test upon Bro Miyauchi had conducted by Bro Taiki Ogawa in English and declared fully proficient by the WM.
RAISED THE LODGE TO FC degree;
After EA brother retired and raised the lodge to FC degree, Proficiency test of the degree upon Bro Mukai, who had passed on last month meeting had conducted by Taiki Ogawa in Japanese and WM also declared fully proficient.
THE LODGE RESUMED TO MM degree;
Suspension: The Secretary announced that those brethren named below will be suspended if their Annual dues will not be paid by 31 Dec. 2011.

Masonic Education:
As one of those series of Masonic Education, titled the Masonic Etiquette was conducted by Bros Tatara and Ogawa (Tomio) with assisted English narration by Bros Adams and Jordan about interpretation on about the etiquette.
Installation Ceremony:
The secretary announced that the very first meeting on 2012 will be on 7 January which starting at 14:00 hours (Necessary documentation had submitted). After quick business meeting, the lodge will be FFR for preparation of Installation which will be supposed to start at 15:30 and then the Installation Banquet will follow at 18:00 hours at YC&AC. More detail will be announced in shortly.
BERORE THE CLOSING:
WB Frank Reno gave his heartfelt thanks for the warm reception he had received, and brought fraternal greeting from the WM, Officers and Brethren of Eustis Lodge #85 and WB Watanabe of #11 announced their Officer's Installation will be held on 28 January starting at 15:00 hours.
Closing:
The WM then announced that there being no further business to come before this Lodge of MM's we would proceed to close. Peace and harmony prevailing, this lodge was closed at 17:10 hours.
