The 604th Stated Meeting of Far East Lodge No. 1, F. & A.M. was held at the Masonic Temple located at 77-12 Honmoku Midorigaoka, Naka-ku, Yokohama on the 1st September 2012.
A lodge of MM's was opened in due and ancient form at 13:00 hours with WB Sagara, WM in the East, Bro Tsujii, SW in the West and WB Herrera, acting JW in the South.
Then, WM recognized the Distinguished Brethren as listed in the Tyler's register of this date and he welcomed WBro Rudy Herrera of this Lodge who has not been join the meeting by his working schedule.
And he announced that this being our Stated Meeting for the month of October 2012, the first order of business would be the reading of the minutes of our last Stated Meeting and all subsequent Special Meeting. The Secretary read the minutes of Stated Meeting on 1st September. They were APPROVED AS READ.
The Treasurer's report, by Bro Tomio Ogawa, Treasurer reported month of September and after which he moved and it was seconded that the report accepted as read subject to the usual audit. MOTION CARRIED.
The Secretary then read the bills for the period after which he moved and it was seconded that the bills be paid. MOTION CARRIED.
Next was the report of the several committees: All committee reports were negative with the exception of the following:
CHARITY: Alms in the amount of 7,241 yen (6,441+800 ($10.00)) were collected.
RECEPTION OF PETITIONS: None.
BALLOTING FOR PETITION: None.
CORRESPONDENCE: GL Monthly Bulletin of Sep. 20 and draft copy of ECM minutes on July 28 had tapped on the Bulletin Board in the Conference room.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS: None.
NEW BUSINESS: READING BY LAW; WM read Article II, Section 2 of By-Laws.
MM CONFERRAL: at 13:50 hours, the MM conferral has started by three distinct knock at the door by Bros Miyauchi and Kim who had passed their FC proficiency exams in July Meeting and they admitted into the Lodge. They obligated a Master Mason by WB Sagara. Bro Taniuchi gave the Working Tool Lecture.
At 14:50, the Tragedy had started by WB Sagara as a KS and Bro Tsujii as HT. Bro Miyauchi was by short form and Bro Kim was conducted by regular one. Then the Degree lecture was conducted by Bro Eric Anderson who did a wonderful performance and the Charge had delivered by MWB Watanabe. All of them had conducted in English.
As the youngest MM of the Lodge, Bro Miyauchi and Kim expressed their sincere thanks to all brethren who had worked hard to confer the degree upon them.
COMING SCHEDULE:
Bro Secretary started to explain that we have 2 EAs who already had passed their proficiency Exam on September Meeting and ready to be passing. If we could have a Special Meeting on 27 October to pass them into FC will be grate. And asked to brethren present who could join the FC special meeting and found 6-7 brother showed their hand up. We decided to have a FC conferral as a Special meeting.
CLOSING:
The WM announced that there being no further business to come before this Lodge of MM's and so we would proceed to close at 17:20 in short form with WB Sagara, WM in the East, Bro Tsujii, SW in the West, and WB Herrera, acting JW in the South.
This meeting was attended by 17 Master Masons (including 2 MMs newly raised)..
