The files in this section are audio recordings in 160 kbps MP3 format of lectures from the Masonic Ritual of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Japan. Clicking on the links will automatically play the files in most modern browsers. Alternatively, the files can be downloaded by clicking with the right mouse button and choosing a destination, then transferring them to an iPod or other digital music player.

The recordings are intended to help Brethren whose first language is not English with the pronunciation and intonation of some of the more difficult phrases and sentences in the ritual. Consequently, the speed of delivery is slower than normal, with emphasis on clarity not smoothness.

For further guidance on the correct pronunciation of obsolete or Biblical words, please consult WB Hannon Jackson's excellent Glossary of Ritual Words, or refer to one of the many pronouncing dictionaries available online.
