The main item on the agenda for our November Stated Meeting was the initiation of Mr. Takeshi Noma, but several other items of important business had to be dealt with first.

Four separate ballots were held on applications for membership from Mr. Taiki Ogawa, Mr. Yoshikane Tei, Mr. Seiichi Honda and Mr. Akihiro Tatara. All four ballots were favorable and we hope to schedule a series of First Degrees as early as possible in the New Year.
Two of the Lodge's newest Master Masons offered to give their Third Degree Proficiencies at today's meeting. MWB Watanabe examined Bros. Mikuni and Tsujii in Japanese and WB Masaki, the acting Worshipful Master, declared both of them proficient.
After some discussion it was agreed to hold a Special Meeting on November 25 for the purpose of passing Bro. Koji Konno. At our December 2 Stated Meeting we hope to raise Bro. Kiyoshi Wachi.

MWB Katagiri moved and WB Buda seconded a motion that WB Kanemitsu, PM of Aomori Lodge No. 10 and a regular visitor to our meetings, be made an Honorary Member of Far East Lodge No. 1. The motion was carried unanimously and WB Kanemitsu expressed his thanks for the honor.

As WB Herrera was unable to attend today's meeting, WB Masaki took over in the East with MWB Katagiri in the West and WB Buda in the South. During the First Degree Ceremony MWB Watanabe conducted the candidate, presented the Lambskin Apron and delivered the Charge. WB Masaki gave the Obligation, Bro. Mikuni presented the Working Tools and MWB Katagiri gave the First Degree Lecture.
