Far East Lodge No. 1 member MWB Kazzy Watanabe has undertaken the monumental task of scanning the Grand Lodge's archive of documents and preserving it in digital form.

On a much smaller scale, Far East Lodge No. 1 is also planning to preserve its important documents for posterity. From January, all published minutes are being converted into XHTML format and posted to this website. Work has also begun on scanning some of the older minutes. This is proving to be a much more difficult task than expected. On the one hand, most of the early minutes are faded carbon copies on poor-quality paper that has become brittle with age. On the other, in the first three decades of its history Far East Lodge No. 1 held three or four special meetings each month and the quantity of documentation is enormous.

At the moment most of the scanned minutes are from the 1970s and are still in plain text format. They will be put online as they are converted into XHTML format.

The available minutes can be accessed from the main Documents Index, or by going directly to the Minutes Index.
