Stated Meeting

It has been some time since the Lodge scheduled a double Third Degree during a Stated Meeting. In the past, such a combination often resulted in marathon five-hour sessions and occasionally the postponement of the Lecture of the Degree to the next meeting.

Fortunately, the only business to be brought before the Lodge at our Stated Meeting for October was of a routine nature, and the conferral commenced at 1350 hrs, with Bros Kim and Miyauchi giving three knocks at the door of Lodge.

WB Sagara congratulates Bro Miyauchi

The Tragedy began at 1500 with WB Sagara as King Solomon and Bro Tsujii as Hiram, King of Tyre. First Bro Miyauchi was raised using the short form of the Tragedy and then Bro Kim was raised using the long form. The Lecture of the Third Degree was given by Bro Anderson, prompted by Bro Jordan. At 1720 MWB Watanabe delivered the Charge of the Degree and the Lodge's newest MMs were given the privilege of addressing the Lodge. Both thanked the WM and Brethren for the time and effort they had put into the degree conferral. Bro Kim took the opportunity to announce that he was going to be transferred to Norfolk, Virginia, where he intended to visit the local lodge, Norfolk No. 1.
